Job Description:

Akkodis is looking for a Mechanical Analysis Engineer at the Grand Rapids, MI location. Ideally looking for a highly skilled Vibration and Thermal Analysis Engineer with experience in aerospace applications. You will perform thermal and vibration analysis on circuit card assemblies (CCA) while ensuring adherence to aerospace and military standards. This role requires proficiency in ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS IcePak, and Siemens NX (preferred). You will be responsible for executing analysis, reporting, and ensuring project requirements are met. Pay Rate: $60-65/hr Type: 18 months contractKey Responsibilities:

• Perform thermal and vibration analysis on circuit card assemblies and component levels.
• Execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for random vibration using ANSYS Workbench.
• Conduct thermal analysis using ANSYS IcePak.
• Apply the Steinberg method for vibration analysis.
• Adhere to aerospace standards and testing procedures, including Mil-Std-810 and DO-160.
• Perform hand calculations to support analysis.
• Prepare and present technical reports and data to team members and customers.
• Participate in technical and program reviews as a presenter or reviewer.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication of technical data generated during the project.
• Collaborate with other analysts on thermal and vibration testing responsibilities for each project. Must-Have Skills:
  • Experience in aerospace thermal and vibration analysis.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench (FEA) and ANSYS IcePak (thermal analysis).
  • Experience in performing random vibration testing methods.
  • Familiarity with Siemens NX (mechanical design) - preferred.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace and military standards (Mil-Std-810, DO-160).
  • Experience with the Steinberg method for vibration analysis.
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills (PowerPoint).
  • Ability to perform hand calculations and support peer reviews.
